Where Are The Mid-Week Spectators?

New, 10 comments

Although thousands of tourists from around the globe were expected to attend The City's first America's Cup World Series regatta, Day 1 of the races didn't appear to attract as many visitors as anticipated. The Examiner reports on what seems to be an international lack of interest in the races. Locally, since everyone in San Francisco seems to have a job it may be a case of "too busy," but there's speculation that the event has been overhyped. The weather hasn't helped, either, but bigger crowds are expected over the weekend. [SF Examiner/Curbed SF]
