It Begins

Sorry, North Beach Dwellers. The SFMTA will start work today on relocating some utility lines in preparation for the Central Subway. This is pre-construction, so hopefully there won't be jackhammers hammering away at the earth outside of your window come 7AM. We learn from the SF Appeal that construction will take place on Columbus between Union and Powell, and at the intersection of Columbus and Union. The work will take about four months.
