Let's Argue About Parking

New, 2 comments

The SFMTA is about to take a closer look at those much-treasured neighborhood parking zones. The agency will soon embark on a two-year study of the zones– described as a "hodgepodge"– as part of the city's longstanding "Transit First" policy. Originally conceived as a way of keeping commuters from parking all day, permits for the zones cost $104 a year, while garages now rent for upwards of $250 a month. Expect street-by-street pushback from residents at those community outreach meetings. [SF Examiner/Photo by Greg Long via BoingBoing]
