In April we told you what was up with the new Betty Ann Ong Recreation Center at Washington and Mason Streets. The entire project was supposed to be completed by mid-May, but the $21 million renovation had a few minor setbacks so now its grand opening will be this Saturday. A Rec and Park representative said that the center is the most heavily used public recreation center in the City, and after its reopening it'll likely attract more residents. The project is part of the $185 million Clean and Safe Neighborhood Park Bond measure passed by voters in 2008. [Curbed SF/SF Examiner]
