The Richmond SF Blog tells us Safeway's on the brink of submitting new plans for the remodeling of their store near Ocean Beach. And it includes something called "studio residential" along with underground parking. There's also a video (long, no thrilling music, no Peter Coyote narration) that virtually walks around the project. It looks incredibly banal, and while the discreet signage is a win, we don't understand why a big box store would have windows at street level except to plaster with advertising. [RichmondSF]
