This week we're skipping our usual beat of covering the cheapest abodes in a specific neighborhood and instead sharing with you San Francisco's ten least expensive homes for sale with pool access. Blame it on all that Olympic swimming we watched this weekend. Because South Beach is home to so many tall and fancy new residential towers, the majority of pools on this list are in that particular neighborhood. Let's get this (pool) party started!
10) Unit #3908 at 425 1st Street, South Beach
Asking price: $825,000
Size: 1-bed, 1-bath
Monthly HOA Dues: $762
The skinny: To the right is a video we found on YouTube of One Rincon Hill's pool. It's heated, and you can tell from the video that it gets a lot of the freeway noise. The unit itself has been on the market for 3 days and is on the 39th floor. There's 1-car parking in the garage.
9) Unit 15C at 338 Spear Street, South Beach
Asking price: $799,000
Size: 1-bed, 1-bath, 806-square-feet
Price per square foot: $991
Monthly HOA dues: $723
The skinny: The Infinity's indoor swimming pool is fabulous, and is adjacent to the residential tower's 5,000 square foot fitness center. We love this pool. This unit's been on the market 11 days. 1-car parking is included in the sale. The unit's currently tenant occupied.
8) Unit 5B at 2200 Pacific Avenue, Pacific Heights
Asking price: $778,000
Size: 1-bed, 1.5-bath
Monthly HOA dues: $938
The skinny: We do love a good rooftop pool, a real rarity around these parts. No word on if it's heated or not, but we're going to assume it is. The unit recently underwent a "chic" remodel. 1-car parking is in the garage.
7) #1514 at 250 King Street, South Beach
Asking price: $650,000
Size: 1-bed, 1-bath, 962-square-feet
Price per square foot: $676
Monthly HOA dues: $761
The skinny: As you can see from this aerial shot, this pool is adjacent to a hot tub and club house, and has plenty of outdoor furniture sprinkled around it for your lounging pleasure. The unit itself is on the 15th floor and has views of "the yacht harbors for the America's Cup." 1-car parking is available if you want to shell out $127.34 for the leased parking fee.
6) #1109 at 400 Beale Street, South Beach
Asking price: $599,000
Size: 1-bed, 1-bath, 725-square-feet
Price per square foot: $826
Monthly HOA dues: $641
The skinny: This pool at The Bridgeview certainly isn't as glamourous as others on the list, but a pool's a pool. There's also a hot tub just around the corner. The unit's been on the market 3 days. 1-car parking is included in the sale.
5) #12 at 1236 Rhode Island Street, Potrero Hill
Asking price: $540,000
Size: 3-bed, 2-bath, 1,003-square-feet
Price per square foot: $538
Monthly HOA dues: $512
The skinny: There's no photo of the pool, only a blurry shot of the exterior of this townhouse. We know the complex has "many amenities including fitness room, clubhouse, wading pool and spa." There's 1 carport.
4) #362 at 250 King Street, South Beach
Asking price: $489,000
Size: 1-bed, 1-bath, 672-square-feet
Price per square foot: $728
Monthly HOA dues: $709
The skinny: Another unit at The Beacon! See above unit's description of the pool and surrounding areas. This particular unit faces east, so it gets that wonderful morning sun we all crave. There's no mention of parking.
3) #702 at 1177 California Street, Nob Hill
Asking price: $470,000
Size: 0-bed 1-bath, 511-square-feet
Price per square foot: $920
Monthly HOA dues: $753
The skinny: We're digging this indoor pool quite a bit. Perhaps it's the dome, or maybe the views. The pool's heated. The unit's been on the market for 39 days and unfortunately (for you, not the seller) it has a sale that's currently pending. 1-car parking in the garage is included in the sale.
2) #704 at 1050 North Point, Russian Hill
Asking price: $425,000
Size: 0-bed, 1-bath
Monthly HOA dues: $426
The skinny: This building was built in 1965 and its pool looks its age, and not in a fun retro way. We should also point out that this unit doesn't have laundry, and the facility's laundry room is coin operated. 1-car parking is included in the sale. Bonus broker babble: "Your front row seat to the 2013 America's Cup," which is actually true.
1) #802 at 601 Van Ness Avenue, Civic Center
Asking price: $334,250
Size: 1-bed, 1-bath, 676-square-feet
Price per square foot: $494
Monthly HOA dues: $611
The skinny: This condo was sold at a foreclosure auction in February for $250,000. The pool's only able to be seen through atrium doors where the hot tub is. It's outdoor, probably heated. There's no mention of parking.
