Lost In Sacramento

State Sen. Mark DeSaulnier (D-Concord) lost a skirmish today in his battle to stop the Metropolitan Transportation Commission from leaving Oakland. The MTC bought a former WWII tank factory (most recently a Post Office) at Harrison & Main Streets in San Francisco, and will someday relocate their HQ there with with three other agencies there from Oakland, a move bitterly opposed by East Bay politicians. Based on the findings of a pending state audit, DeSaulnier plans to reintroduce his bill in January— which apparently will force the Commission to sue itself for mis-use of funds.
