There's a grand Julia Morgan mansion in Sacramento on the market, and comes with its own conference center! Bequeathed in 1966 to Sacramento State and last renovated in 1999, "Goethe House" been declared surplus by the school and put on the market for $1.995M. It's classic, eclectic Morgan– Mediterranean and Arts & Crafts with a little Gothic tracery tossed in. Apparently the house is under consideration as the new Governor's Mansion, although that's unlikely under the current Brown regime. More than likely some Republicans indulging in advance planning. Doesn't seem to be on the MLS. [Valley Community News]
