The Examiner's top dog (that would be Stephen Buel) sat down or phoned Phil Ginsburg, who's been the general manager of the Rec and Park Department since 2009, to get the inside scoop on what it's like to be the man in charge of our city's parks. Ginsburg says that he knew what he was getting into when he got the job because he had "already spent some time watch Amy Pohler in "Parks and Rec," and his job is "exactly like the sitcom." Buel asks Ginsburg about the big surprises of the job, the most delightfully kooky issue he's dealt with, and the strangest thing he's ever encountered while on the job.
