After the Gold Dust Lounge closed its doors last month, the owners have signed a lease to relocate the bar to Fisherman's Wharf at 165 Jefferson Street. The space will be three times the size of the old Union Square location, but much of the original decor will be reinstalled in the new spot, including the ceiling on canvas, the bar, stools, tables and booths, and the general layout will be similar to the original with a stage beyond the bar. The signature marquee will be recreated, and there will be a new space outdoor patio area on Jefferson. Construction will begin once they get the liquor license transferred, with hopes of reopening by the end of the year. [Inside Scoop SF/photo: The Inadvertent Gardener]
