The SF Examiner tells us what we already know: There's a very low inventory of homes for sale and rent and the wave of wealthy tech folk looking to buy or rent has increased. Real Facts, a rental data firm, states that the average monthly price of an apartment lease has risen to $2,734, which is more than 10% from last year. Oakland and the Pacifica have both become more costly as well, "but you can still go right across the Bay and to Oakland and pay almost $1,000 less per month," said Nick Grotjahn of Real Facts.
