More Good News For That Cup Thing

The San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission voted 17-0 yesterday in favor of permits for construction planned along the waterfront for the America's Cup Race. One of the region's shadow governments, the Commission's approval was key to things moving forward. The National Park Service and the Army Corps of Engineers have yet to approve, but with the scaled-down race, proposed viewing at NPS venues reduced, and dredging cut way back, "yes" is expected form both agencies.
