Surround Yourself with Parks in the Upper Haight

It's quite clear that the San Francisco rental market is hot, hot, hot right now, so here at Curbed we're going to bring you a bevy of rental properties each week for your perusal -- one in each price range for budget, middle-of-the-road, and luxury. Today we tackle the Upper Haight, which, while known for hippies and sit/lie, also has quick access to Golden Gate Park, Buena Vista Park, and Sutro Open Space.

Budget: This studio will set you back a "mere" $1,650 per month. It's spitting distance to Golden Gate Park, and close to multiple transit lines and fun stuff on the upper-upper end of Haight. Maybe you'll even be able to afford to shop at the neighboring Whole Foods! The apartment itself has nice hardwood floors and looks light and bright. Parking is available for a small car, but there's no word on laundry, so you may be washing your skivvies a block away.[craigslist]

Middle of the Road: This gem of a one-bedroom is $2,250 per month and checks all the boxes. It has hardwood floors (though in the actual unit they are sexy dark hardwood floors instead), a dishwasher, and doesn't face the street, so you should be saved from Haight Street crazy noise. Parking is available for $150 per month. The cross street is Haight, so you're in the middle of the action while being close to transit like several Muni buses, and the N-Judah for beach or downtown trips. If the actual unit looks anything like this, we'd say it's a go -- spacious, lots of closet space, and clean. [craigslist]

Luxury: For $7,000 a month, this 3-bedroom, 2-bath apartment could be yours on Page Street. It's got a killer kitchen that looks great for entertaining at fancy dinner parties, and similarly high-end-looking bathroom. It looks a little dark, but maybe you won't notice when you have 1,650 square feet to lounge about it. Parking for two cars is included, which is a godsend in this neighborhood. Honestly, we're hoping for some shared outdoor space, but you'll have to check it out to be sure. If not, the park is your outdoor space, but you'll have to hang with the commoners. [Trulia]
