Yesterday the Mayor announced the development of a 25-year master plan to expand the Moscone Convention Center because "we can't sit back and let other cities around the world take our business away," the President and CEO of the SF Travel Association said. "This is one of the most utilized convention centers in the nation and many of our convention clients are simply outgrowing it." The Moscone Center already provides approximately one million square feet of space. Architects Skidmore, Owens & Merrill LLP with Mark Cavagnero Associated will create the Master Plan. The first phase is fit to be completed by early 2018. [Curbed Inbox/photo via Bhautik Joshi]
