Sleek and Contemporary Studio Home Sells For Above Asking

New, 6 comments

This home was listed for $649,000 back in early May and sold last week for $710,000. 141 Ames, aka Betty May, is a cottage on a quiet alley in the Mission. You may recognize this stylish abode if you're an architecture nerd, as it was featured on the 2009 American Institute of Architectures home tour. The studio home (that's right, there's only a fireplace/closet partition separating the living area from the sleeping area) has one bathroom and was designed by BoorBridges Architects with help from Flora Grubb Gardens. How'd the cottage get its name? The building used to be Betty May's School of Dancing. 1-car leased parking is nearby for $225 per month. Congrats to the seller and buyer!
