A Cup's Pricey VIP Tickets

New, 1 comment

Pretty much everyone in this town has a friend or two with a roof or an apartment with a view of at least a portion of the America's Cup race, but that hasn't stopped the folks behind the race from putting together deluxe viewing packages for the very rich, most of which will probably be out-of-towners. For $26,000, you and 10 friends can have easy parking and wine tasting sessions at a site adjacent to the St. Francis Yacht Club in the Marina, which has a pretty fantastic view of the race. Want to be a VIP but don't have $26,000 (or friends)? Individual tickets for the same four-day package will go for $3,000. [SF Examiner]
