Live Among the Partiers or Parrots in North Beach or Telegraph Hill

It's quite clear that the San Francisco rental market is hot hot hot right now, so here at Curbed we're going to bring you a bevy of rental properties each week for your perusal -- one in each price range for budget, middle-of-the-road, and luxury. Today we take a look around North Beach and Telegraph Hill -- nabes with low inventory and crazy beautiful views.

Budget: This one-bedroom is right in the middle of the action at Grant and Green — home to North Beach bars and delicious pizza. It's $1,800, which is about as low as it gets for this neck of the woods, but is a true one bedroom with an eat-in kitchen and a small living room. There's no laundry or parking, but storage is available. While it's on the small side, it looks clean and well maintained. There's also only a shower, which for some people is a pro because bathtubs take up a lot of space and are a pain to clean. This apartment is basic, but the location is awesome for those who are looking to be in thick of the neighborhood. [craiglist]

Mid-Range: This one bedroom for $2,195 comes to us from Vallejo St. — even closer to the Fi-Di from general walking to work awesomeness, and, best of all, there's a pool for these lovely days we've been having. Parking is — get this — included, there's laundry in the building, and there's onsite management and maintenance for when you blow a fuse by trying to use a blender next to the pool. we're in love a little (or a lot) with the actual apartment — hardwood, light and bright, and a cozy fireplace for non-pool days. Luxury: This apartment is actually on Telegraph Hill, so while you'll have views and parrots, you'll be a little bit further away from the action. For $3,000 per month, you get an updated apartment with newer appliances, granite counters, and a dishwasher. The hardwood floors look great, as does the wood-burning fireplace to take in bay views for when we aren't Sparing the Air. As for the building, parking is available, laundry is on site, and there's a shared roof deck with views. You're super close to the Filbert Street Steps, so entertain tourists and your legs alike with all of that awesomeness. [craiglist]
