Speaking of public art, we just got word that the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation is now accepting artist submissions for the 2013 'Hearts in San Francisco' series. Like every year, the artwork that's selected will eventually be auctioned off with proceeds supporting life-enhancing programs at SF General Hospital and Trauma Center. But before that happens, the hearts are displayed around town in plazas, parks and on street corners. Applicants must submit their design by the August 6 deadline. [Curbed Inbox]
