Wondering what's up at the Alamo Square site where a school building was demolished just downhill from the Painted Ladies? We were, too— and then we found this video, and of course, we're total suckers for real estate videos that deploy drones. Three new Post Victorian houses are planned for the mid-block school site on Steiner Street, and regrettably named "Painted Gentlemen," a moniker that conjures up more than just images of certain Bay to Breakers participants. The video also takes us inside the big white Probert house on the corner at Grove Street, listed last week as a reno-ready 7-bed, 7-bath house for $3,000,000. The c.1895 mansion has been partly gutted, and according to the listing has entitlements for a garage and roof decks, along with over 9000 square feet inside. If the video's not enough, 940 Grove Street is open this Sunday, June 3 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
