One Rincon Hill, Suddenly Sensitive

New, 6 comments

Because of the building's specific structural system and height and the density of the instrumentation array, ?scientists expect to collect "unprecedented data from this building." One Rincon Hill has stepped into the future of seismology, now outfitted with sensors that will monitor the building's movement. The extra-tall condo building (the tallest residential building on the West Coast!) was engineered to withstand earthquakes and is seen as a potential model for construction techniques in tremblor-prone locales.
