What It Sold For

Last month, we told you about that lovely white Art Deco house overlooking the city at 429 Douglass Street. Much renovated recently with new just about everything— floors, baths, the kitchen, some dangerous-looking iron work— and starchy enough to make the neighbors look rumpled. The 4-bed, 4-bath and very-French abode closed escrow yesterday after 27 days on the market for $2,925,000, or just $74,000 shy of the original asking price. Kudos to all involved.
