Modern Macondray Lane Manse Takes a Little Off the Top

New, 3 comments

Was: $3,648,000
Now: $3,458,800
You Save: $189,200 If you'd like a house on famed Macondray Lane, your chance just became a little less expensive. For those unfamiliar, Macondray Lane is a very narrow walkway that spans two blocks between Union and Green streets and Leavenworth and Taylor streets. We should also point out that this is the same lane that Barbary Lane from Tales of the City was inspired by. Frankly, we think one of the reasons this 3-bed, 4-bath, 2,588-square-foot home isn't snatching up a buyer is because it's one of the only modern abodes (it was built in 1985) on the block. The home comes with 2-car parking in a garage somewhere nearby. So what's the problem, readers? What'll it take for this manse to find a buyer?
