Picking on Salesforce.Com

The SF Examiner updates the extensive fallout from Salesforce.com's cancellation of its spectacular Legorreta + Legorreta Mission Bay campus project, citing more than $300M spent in land acquisition, taxes and fees and the company's "singed" relationship with Mayor Lee. Meanwhile, the company has become one of downtown's biggest tenants, filling many thousands of previously vacant square feet with people who would have worked at the campus, so Lee can't exactly complain. As for the 14 acres of empty lot, doesn't someone want a new basketball arena? [SF Examiner/Reuters and previously at Curbed SF]
