It's no secret that the Golden State Warriors are fixing to relocate to a new stadium in Oakland or San Francisco after their lease expires with the Oracle Arena in Oakland. At first everyone thought the most obvious spot for the arena would be next to AT&T Park on the waterfront, but the Giants sort of squashed that plan when it revealed proposals for the Mission Rock Plan. The Warriors then became interested in another piece of waterfront property, specifically Piers 30-32. Mayor Lee's so desperate to have the team here in time for the 2017 NBA season, that he's penned a letter to Warriors owner Peter Guber asking him to commit to the City. It was signed by all 11 city supervisors, the Port Commission, San Francisco's legislative contingent and host of business and labor leaders.
