Yesterday the Planning Commission heard an informational presentation on the Van Ness Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project. Presented by The San Francisco County Transportation Authority, the project is currently going through a million levels of environmental review, including coming up with alternative design schemes. They presented their preferred design to the Planning Commission, which is comprised of a center bus lane with right side boarding, a single median, and limited left turns. The recommended alternatives will go before the SFMTA and SFCTA boards later this month. The plan can be viewed in full on the SFCTA site. [SFCTA]
