Inspired by vintage photos of the Portola found via the San Francisco Public Library, the fine folks at the Portola Planet decided to do a little more digging and found a "set of imges akin to Google Maps 1938 style." Back in 1938, a brave soul took to an airplane to snap some great aerial shots of the Portola neighborhood.
