Mission Local has a rundown of everything that went down at last week's community meeting about the 24th Street BART plaza redesign. The biggest news: the plaza's southwest corner will increase by 1,200-square-feet. “These plazas are important public open spaces? they are gateways to the neighborhood for residents and myriad visitors,” said BART Board Vice President Tom Radulovich. “Everyone I talk to about them agrees they are not working now the way they should.” The finished design should be completed by May, and construction of the new plaza should be completed by October 2013.
