Looking for a lucrative, long-term project? The SFMTA is taking bids to build the Central Subway's Union Square station, expected to pencil in at $210M, with work to begin in 2013. So far, $235M has been approved for tunneling, and bids are expected to be approved soon for the $235M Chinatown Station. To be up and running in 2018, the 1.7-mile subway is expected to cost $1.6B. Hooray. [SF Examiner]
