Supes Support Stopping Foreclosures

New, 1 comment

Yesterday the Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to support a resolution calling for banks to stop foreclosures. The resolution, cosponsored by 7 of the 9 supervisors, supports the California Homeowner Bill of Rights, urges City and County officials and departments to protect homeowners from unlawful foreclosures, and urges City contractors and all mortgage and banking institutions to suspend foreclosure activities and related auctions and evictions until State and Federal measures are in place to protect homeowners from unfair and unlawful practices.
