Mayor Lee Pays a Visit to the Supervisors Today

Today's Board of Supervisors meeting will feature their monthly policy discussion with the Mayor. The pre-submitted questions range from homeless shelters to public safety. Supervisor Chu asks about the Mayor's commitment to the recently released Ocean Beach Master Plan. Spearheaded by SPUR, the plan includes improving access, protecting and restoring ecological resources, and protecting critical infrastructure as sea level rise and erosion concerns deepen.

Back in January, Supervisor Weiner called for a hearing on street lighting, in particular the lack of responsiveness to community requests for maintenance of street lights and augmentation of sidewalk lighting for pedestrian safety. He asks the Mayor what are the problems with street and sidewalk lighting, and how they can work together to find solutions. We'll keep you posted on the Mayor's responses after the hearing.
