Cash For Parks

New, 1 comment

On this November's ballot, the Rec & Parks Department will once again ask voters to approve a bond for parks. The money would help fix up parks, playgrounds, restrooms, athletic fields and the waterfront. Rec & Parks has been pow-wowing with the Board of Supervisors to create a priority list of projects, but the bond would include a community opportunity fund, so groups could fund projects they’d like in their own neighborhoods. The size of the bond has not yet been set, but would likely be of a similar amount as the $185 million bond voted on in 2008. [SF Examiner/photo via SF Rec & Parks]
