Buy a Sliver of Russian Hill's Macondray Lane

New, 11 comments

Macondray Lane, which we're sure regular readers know is one of our favorite pockets in SF, is a 2-block pedestrian lane on Russian Hill. Others may know it as Barbary Lane from Tales of the City. 19B Macondray Lane is a 2-bed, 2-bath, 960 square foot condo that was built in 1961. The listing describes it as "Mysterious! Magical! Magnificent!" It also mentions that the unit is "perfect for the discriminating buyer." We're going to have to agree. The condo recently underwent a remodel, and now has a fancy and shiny kitchen and gleaming hardwood floors. Property highlights include decks with views of Coit Tower and the Bay Bridge, and being able to say you live on Macondray Lane. Asking price? $799,000. Monthly HOA dues are $200 and there's obviously no mention of parking.
