The very wonderful and incredibly impressive Larkin Street Youth Services and the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation celebrated the re-opening of the Aarti Hotel (510 Ellis Street) yesterday. The space will provide 40 units of housing for transition-aged young people. "It allows us to more than double the number of youth we serve," Larkin Street executive director Sherilyn Adams said. "There is a huge gap in need." "This is a place for people to live ? and have affordable housing," said TNDC executive director Don Falk. "The city and the county of San Francisco has an issue of homelessness with young people." [SF Appeal/TNDC]
