You'd think the PGA backing out of its promise to have a playoff tournament in Harding Park in 2013 or 2014 would be a big bummer, but that's the opposite of what city officials are saying. The BMW Championship will now be played in Indianapolis and Denver. CBS SF reports that "the agreement now calls for at least 8 PGA tournaments at Harding by the end of 2019, instead of six – along with the additional revenue from those additional two events." The City's agreement with the PGA improves the conditions of Harding Park with the idea that it'll attract high profile golf events. "We want to see them here for a long time to come and sometimes partners have to be flexible," said Rec and Park Department GM Phil Ginsburg. [CBS SF/photo via Shutterstock]
