Let The Bitterness Begin

"I don't think this is a victory for the city," said Supervisor Mark Farrell, complaining that the tough negotiating stance of his colleagues is responsible for the last-minute changes to the Event Agreement. He's unhappy about the loss of potential construction contracts and the jobs they create- and not the fact that no one seems to be showing up for the race that would make the jobs possible. At this rate, we'll be lucky to get a cruise terminal out of the deal. Negotiations to resume with the Supes scheduled to vote on a new agreement March 27. [via SF Appeal]
