"It's just got the right proportions," ACT Executive Director Ellen Richard told the Chronicle. "It's in a great location up at U.N. Plaza, and I think it give us a lot of visibility on Market Street." The American Conservatory Theater has bought the vacant and deteriorating Strand Theatre at 1127 Market Street.
