Last week we told you that not one, but three medical marijuana dispensaries within a mile of Mission Street were going up before the Planning Commission. All three had separate requests for Discretionary Review filed by a member of the public, specifically the Outer Mission Merchants and Residents Association. On Thursday evening, planning officials voted 7-0 to approve all three new dispensaries. "Our staff is excited to begin the process of opening this facility," said Caren Woodson, Operations Director for The Green Cross in an email statement. If all goes as planned, the dispensaries could open as early as this summer. [The Snitch/photo via Oaksterdam]
