Adding to yesterday's tidbit about the Historical Society painting its headquarters in SoMa orange to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge is Bernalwood, whose editor actually painted his Bernal Heights home's exterior (and some of the interior) the same orange as the Golden Gate Bridge, and way before it was the fashionable thing to do. Bernalwood's post contains an overview of how the color was selected and also how you too can paint your house the same iconic orange as the bridge. By the way, it's "Fireweed" by Sherwin-Williams.
