Going Big in Berkeley

New, 6 comments

A Los Angeles real estate group is hoping to build a high-rise in downtown Berkeley, something that hasn't happened in 40 years. Called The Residences at Berkeley Plaza, the 17-story luxury apartment complex is aiming to to be 180 feet tall and have 355 residences. By way of Berkeleyside we learn that the complex "must show "significant community benefits beyond what is otherwise required," and provide affordable housing, social services, green features, open space, transportation demand management, job training and employment opportunities."
