Yesterday the Historic Preservation Commission gave their unanimous thumbs up to the renovation project of the long-since vacant New Mission Theater. The project will turn the empty space into an Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas with five smaller theaters and a bar. Now that the HPC has approved it, the project will go to the Planning Commission in early January for the rest of its approvals. [SF Planning/previously on Curbed SF]
