Samsung Reveals Renderings for Proposed Silicon Valley Campus

New, 4 comments

[Renderings via SJ Biz Journal] Samsung recently unveiled conceptual renderings for a 650,000-square-foot campus in North San Jose. Nathan Donato-Weinstein at the SJ Biz Journal nailed it: "If Apple's Spaceship could be compared to a doughnut, Samsung's new structure is closer to a layer cake." (Here are the renderings for the proposed Apple campus.) The designs are still in the very early stages, and city Planning Director Joe Horwedel says the design will evolve further but is already unlike anything else in the region. The proposed design calls for two 10-story buildings that are connected via overhanging horizontal planes. The renderings also show some type of living roof.
