San Francisco's First "Artful" Bike Racks Unveiled

New, 3 comments

The Yerba Buena Community Benefit District unveiled what it described as "San Francisco's first "artful" bicycle racks" at a ceremony in front of the Metreon. The bike racks are made of recycled cast iron, which "reinforce our City's commitment to sustainability" said Supervisor Jane Kim. The bike racks are funded by the YBCBD and were designed by CMG Landscape Architecture. The first 60 of 250 bike racks will be installed in the Yerba Buena neighborhood (it's a small section of SoMa) by the SFMTA. The bike racks are part of the YBCBD's Yerba Buena Street Life Plan.
