It was just earlier this month that we told you the Exploratorium had secured 80% of its funding, and now we're happy to report that that a portion of the Exploratorium's creatures are moving into their new $300M home on the waterfront at Pier 15. The site's construction is nearly complete and is aiming for an April 17, 2013 opening. The new location will feature 600 indoor and outdoor exhibits in its 330,000 square foot space. [SFGate]
