Sunday Streets Grows

Based on the success of San Francisco's popular Sunday Streets program, Sunday Streets will introduce a new way to party without cars. Called 'Play Streets For All,' it'll be a smaller-scale version of the program. The program will make it easier for residents to close a block or two, especially in neighborhoods that have high rates of childhood obesity and lack safe places for kids to play. So far four neighborhoods will play host to Play Streets in 2013: the Tenderloin, Chinatown, Bayview, and the Western Addition. [Streetsblog/photo via Sergio Ruiz]
