According to the SF Examiner, the Board of Supervisors appear ready to approve the initial financial terms of the proposed $1 billion waterfront arena for the Warriors. The approval would authorize the city to work out the financial terms and lease and sale agreement details, and initiate environmental review. The Supes Budget and Finance Committee unanimously approved the proposal's initial financial terms Wednesday despite concerns from a neighborhood community committee, who argued that the project was moving too fast. The full board is set to hear the proposal next week, and if all goes according to schedule, construction could begin in summer 2014. [SF Examiner/previously on Curbed SF]
