City Target is slated to open at the Metreon tomorrow, and the Chronicle has an inside look at the new store. The 98,000 sq.ft. space will occupy the second floor, and though scaled down from the company's traditional big box models, will still offer pretty much everything you could ever think of needing. City Target will aim to locals, commuters, and tourists, opening early at 7am and using smaller grocery-style shopping carts. The thought is though people will be buying fewer items, they'll be returning more often and buying more frequently. [SF Gate; previously on Curbed SF]
