Target is less than two weeks from the grand opening of its new City Target in the Metreon in San Francisco. As one of the chain's new "City Target" model, the store will only be 100,000 sq.ft., which while still massive is only peanuts compared to their typical big box models. The store will still be the place to buy shampoo, jeans, and car batteries at the same time, but they'll just be selling things on a smaller scale, so don't expect to buy 400 rolls of toilet paper at this location. The main Target selling space will be on the second floor of the Metreon, with the main entrance at the corner of 4th and Mission Streets, and is slated to open the doors October 14.
