New, 2 comments

KQED is featuring a story about the insanity of apartment hunting in San Francisco, with the average asking price for a one-bedroom now $2,673 a month. Reporter Sam Harnett retells his own epic tale of finding a new apartment with his girlfriend this past summer and talks to other house hunters. Crappy one-bedrooms were asking more than $2,200 a month, all with crowds happy to play dirty to get 'em and landlords fueling bidding wars. Head over to KQED for the report.
