Coming to SF for the One of the Weekend's Many Events? Consider Renting an Apartment or Room Instead of Staying at a Hotel

San Francisco, it's the place to be this weekend (or really any weekend, we like it here). From the Giants Playoffs to Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, we know that we'll be sharing our 49 square miles of city with an estimated 1 million visitors. Muni's going to be a nightmare, as will trying to find a cab. What's a fun seeker to do? Rent a spot near the event you want to attend, you silly goose! Here are some cool pads near this weekend's most exciting events, all courtesy of short-term rental site Airbnb.

If you're going to be spending the weekend in South Beach for the some Playoff action:

This entire apartment can be yours for $195 a night. It accommodates 2. It's centrally located on Moss Street in SoMa. While it's super close to Muni and BART, we suggest walking to AT&T Park to avoid the s**tshow that will be the public transportation system. Bonus: there's onsite laundry in case your bro spills beer on you at the game.

This is an another entire apartment for rent. It's on South Van Ness and is going for $280 per night. It's a modern apartment with furnishings to match. Think South Van Ness isn't close enough to the stadium? Consider that it's a completely flat walk, and if it gets bad (which it won't) you can always jump on Muni.

If you're going to be getting your groove on at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass:

Stay the night at the Public House, where a private room will run you $115 a night. It's located on Stanyan in the very lovely Cole Valley neighborhood. There's a 3-night minimum, but why not make a long weekend out of it? Besides, this Victorian has all the things you need: WiFi, television, kitchen, washer and dryer.

This is studio in Alamo Square that will run you $200 a night. It's got a contemporary minimal style. You also get the entire apartment. We're also loving that the main room overlooks Alamo Square Park. "We also have a record player with a decent selection of old records to set the tone for your stay," the listing tells us. Just in case you can't get enough at Hardly Strictly.

If you'll be spending your time watching fast boats and even faster jets:

You can rent this luxurious studio in the heart of the Marina for $250 per night. It's on Chestnut near all the trendy bars and restaurants as well as boutique shopping. The studio's also been remodeled, so there's a brand new kitchen and bathroom awaiting your arrival.

If you're looking to spend less than $200 per night, this studio on Filbert in the Marina is $189 per night. It's within walking distance to the Marina Green where you'll be spending your entire weekend. Like all the other listings so far, this one also has WiFi and cable television.

If you'll be watching the 49ers destroy the Buffalo Bills:

For $125 per night, the Post-Apocalyptic Gypsy Pink Room can you be yours. It's a private room located in the back of the house with its own entrance. The bed is king sized. The Victorian home is located on a hill above Visitation Valley on the eastern side of John McLaren Park. We highly suggest you check out the photos of the rest of the house. It's amazing.

This entire 2-story corner loft in Daly City can be yours for $195 a night. It gets better: it can accommodate 5 people. The loft is "equipped with fine hotel standards including luxury bedding, high-end bath products, wine & cheese basket." You had us at wine.
