Hand That Man A Shovel

We're not sure where the Mayor is going to find dirt to dig into on Pier 29, but he'll be at this morning's groundbreaking for the new, long-planned/debated James R. Herman Cruise Terminal, a saga that's being going on since 2008 at this location after a few years of nothing much happening at the previous venue, Pier 30 south of the Bay Bridge. One week after the BOS rejected an appeal of the EIR, the race is on to get it ready for the America's Cup and the possible global collapse of the cruise business thanks to some bad publicity in Italy.
